The Lockpicking Practice Tool gives instant feedback to the user, showing which pin stacks are being manipulated by the pick. This allows the user to develop the sensitivity needed to accurately and consistently pick locks in the field. Once the user is ready, the demonstrator pins can be removed, leaving the user a typical mortise lock to continue practicing on. Unlike many other demonstration aids, this lock can be rekeyed using standard pins and springs with typical locksmith’s tools and methods. This allows the trainer to set up scenarios as simple as one pin stack and as complex as six stacks with security pins. The mortise lock cylinder also allows the user to practice rekeying a very common type of lock, while the stand helps hold the cylinder still while rekeying.
